The Brand

What does SOJAO even mean?

SOJAO means 'go to sleep' in Hindi, and sounds like 睡觉 in Mandarin. We chose the name as a tribute to the organic cotton farmers in India behind every piece we make.

SOJAO is a cult brand that does things differently. Comfort is at the core of everything, and how we do small things is how we do all things.

Founded in Singapore in 2018, we make everyday essentials from 100% GOTS-certified organic long-staple cotton, finished without harmful chemicals. Today we retail from two home goods stores in Singapore and online across Singapore and Thailand, with local fulfilment in Bangkok.

The Global Organic Textile Standard is the gold standard in organic cotton, covering everything from farming practices to fair labour and chemical-free processing.
